Bryn Jones graduated in 1982 with a BA (Hons) in Welsh at University of Wales, Bangor. He served as a primary school teacher at Ysgol Llanfawr, Holyhead (1983-1989) and as Deputy Headteacher at Ysgol y Gelli, Caernarfon (1989-1995). He served as a Lecturer in Primary Education (Science) at the School of Education, Bangor University (1995-2018). He is currently employed as a Research Fellow at the School of Education and Human Development, Bangor University.
He has served as a Research Officer (2007-2012) at the Centre for Research on Bilingualism at Bangor University, https://www.bangor.ac.uk/bilingualism/
His principal research interests include bilingualism, bilingual education, and teacher training for bilingualism and multilingualism. The focus of his current research work is on language allocation of Welsh and English in the context of teaching and learning in bilingual primary and secondary classes.
He was awarded a PhD by Published Works in 2017.
