Free Conference: Creating and Representing Place
How is space/place created through reality and imagination?
Sessions will include discussions on the creation and description of place through literature, interpretation of image, analysis of the nature of place and how it is conveyed e.g. branding and advertising.
It is a one day multidisciplinary conference in the Arts and Geographical Science. A discussion panel will include speakers from a range of fields including media, design and literature.
The conference is intended to create a co-edited publication that explores identity from the viewpoint of place and its numerous aspects.
