Want to be an RGS IBG Geography Ambassador?
We have teamed up with the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) and are now involved with their 'Geography Ambassador Scheme'. This is a great scheme, whereby Ambassadors act as role models for school pupils via a range of informative, interactive and fun sessions, illustrating the many transferrable skills Geographers develop. You can help build links between schools, university and the RGS. You can enhance your own skills set, and your CV! See the attached information for more details/specifics about the scheme.
If you are interested in becoming a Geography Ambassador, there will be a training session held on Tuesday 13th October, 11-4pm. Please note there is flexibility to attend the training even though some of you will have lectures to attend during the session. There is a limit to numbers, so more than 10 but no more than 30 students can attend this session. So I encourage you to apply asap.
For details on how to apply see the attached information leaflets. The deadline for applying is Friday 9th October.
See rgs.org for further information.
Contact Dr Lynda Yorke (l.yorke@bangor.ac.uk) if you want to express your interest.
