There is so much support available for students. The University provide Student Support Services. There are drop in sessions, and you can also book set appointments if you ever feel you are struggling with specific modules/assignments.
Charelle Tilley – Midwifery BM (Hons)
Charelle Tilley, is from Rhyl and went to Rhyl High School. After she did the Access To Higher Education course in Llandrillo college before coming to Bangor.
Midwifery is a passion of mine so I just knew I wanted to study it.
Jade Swift – Midwifery BM (Hons)
Jade is a 2nd year Midwifery student at Bangor University, and lives in Rhyl.
I enjoy all aspects of my placements but my favorite area is community. I love working closely with women and their families within the community and their own homes.
Stephanie Morris – Adult Nursing BN (Hons)
Stephanie Morris is from Shropshire. She's an Adult Nurse student following the programme based at Bangor’s Wrexham Campus.
I have had so many wonderful opportunities which have helped me to thrive both academically and professionally.
Harriet Glenn – Midwifery Alumni
Harriet Glenn is originally from Colwyn Bay. She graduated with a degree in Midwifery.
The course is intensive and I wanted to stay close to home so I could see my family on days off, the lecturing team were friendly and welcoming.
Jade Parsons – BM (Hons) Midwifery
Jade Parsons is from Holywell. She attended Holywell High school and Coleg Cambria before coming to Bangor.
I’m lucky to have gained a place to study midwifery at Bangor. It has been an absolute pleasure and has made my dream come true!
Erin Jones – Adult Nursing BN (Hons)
Erin Jones is from Bontnewydd, by Caernarfon. She's an Adult Nurse student at Bangor University.
I would encourage anyone to apply for a scholarship. It opens a big door for you, not only at University, but also when you'll be going into the workplace.
Gwen Rees – Adult Nursing BN (Hons)
Gwen is from Ruthin and a 3rd year student nurse at Bangor University’s Wrexham Campus.
To anyone thinking of applying to Bangor University, go for it. It’s definitely the best decision I have made and I feel that the course I am undertaking is totally worthwhile.
Iola Morris – Learning Disability Nursing
Iola Mair Morris, originally from Landderfel near Bala. She was educated at Ysgol Y Berwyn before starting her job and doing an NVQ through Coleg Llysfasi. Iola studied Learning Disability Nursing.
My experience has been unforgettable; highlights include being nominated for the Nursing Times' Student of the Year Award and my amazing placements, also the support from my tutors.
Laura Thomas – Midwifery
Laura Thomas is a born and bred North Walian from a little village called Rhewl, Mostyn. Before attending Bangor University, she spent her primary school years at Ysgol Bryn Pennant, Mostyn and secondary school years at Holywell High School (now Ysgol Treffynnon).
Making a whole new load of friends for life! Their support has been incredible and it feels like we have all known each other forever, definitely a life changing experience.
