Midwifery: Interview and Selection
If you have been successfully shortlisted you will be invited to one of the selection days for an interview, selection days are held in both Bangor and Wrexham. The site you are invited to for selection day does not necessarily reflect your placement location if offered a place on the course. The selection day will involve group interviews by lecturing and senior Health Board midwifery staff, written and numeracy tests under examination conditions and the opportunity to tour the School and meet current/former students.
The interview day will start at 9 am and will end by 4 pm. The day will be quite full therefore make sure you bring some snacks and some lunch. Please also allow time to find parking (there is no parking available at the Bangor campus.)
The interview dates for the Bachelor of Midwifery programme are as follows:
Monday, February 12th, 2018 in Bangor
Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 in Wrexham
Friday, March 9th, 2018 in Bangor
Further interview dates will be arranged to meet demand
During the selection day the admissions team will need to confirm your identity. You will need to bring with you an original and a copy of a birth certificate, passport or driving licence plus two passport sized photographs of yourself. You also need to bring along a completed character reference with you. The form and instructions can be downloaded here. The results of any outstanding results you are yet to receive will be verified via UCAS during Confirmation and Clearing in August.
