Lunchtime Mindfulness Sessions
Due to COVID-19, we will be offering drop-in mindfulness meditation sessions for staff via zoom instead of in-person, this is open to any Bangor staff member to join in, no matter how much or how little previous experience you have of mindfulness. There will be a teacher from the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice team there to guide a 20 minute mindfulness practice each Wednesday.
We are offering these instead of the in-person sessions held in the Brigantia building, so please note those are now suspended until further notice. This temporary shift to online sessions is to enable staff who – due to the coronovirus are perhaps working from home or would prefer to minimise contact with others whilst at work to join us for a mindfulness practice.
Over the last three months Mindfulness Sessions have been available to staff on Wednesday afternoons and they have proven very popular. Please note that the provision will continue but on a slightly different format from 1st July 2020. The practice sessions will be delivered by teachers who are connected with Bangor University’s Centre for Mindfulness.
