Online Learning Opportunities

Please find links below to our current on-line training provision that can all be accessed remotely. 

Please note - at present all new staff are offered an on-line induction upon joining the University and are sent the link to the site with their letter of appointment. Should you require further details or access to the information please email Anna Jones on anna.jones@bangor.ac.uk.

Equality and Diversity Training - It is ESSENTIAL that all staff at the University with computer access complete this training which can be accessed via blackboard HERE

Unconscious Bias Training - This new module was introduced in April 2020 and it is also ESSENTIAL that staff who have online access complete this training. It builds upon the equality and diversity training and explores specifically the concept of unconscious bias; which is a natural bias that affects us all and can have a negative impact if not managed appropriately. The training can be accessed via Microsoft Sway HERE.

Managing Stress and Wellbeing Positively - This self directed learning module introduces some key considerations in relation to managing your own Stress and Wellbeing. This module is in the form of a Microsoft Sway presentation and can be found HERE. Staff who have completed this may wish to enroll on a workshop offered on the Staff Development Training Schedule, providing an opportunity to work with other staff to explore further.

RCS Wellbeing Support - RCS Wales is a government organisation that deliver Wellbeing support to organisations across North Wales. Online resources and webinars are freely available for Bangor University staff to access HERE

Customer Service Training - This is a short self directed learning tool presented on Microsoft Sway and can be found HERE. The Staff Development Team are happy to offer customer service training to groups of staff across campus upon request. Please get in touch should you wish to discuss further. 

Responding to Disclosures of Sexual Violence -  developed by  Student Services, this online module will give you an insight into managing disclosures of sexual violence within the University Community. The training can be found on Microsoft Sway HERE.

GDPR (Data Protection) - A video presenting an overview of the key considerations in relation to storing and processing information securely can be found through blackboard HERE.

Prevent Training - a short online training module has been developed for all staff to access through blackboard HERE. Developed by the Compliance Team at Bangor University in conjunction with the North Wales Police Authority this module gives an overview of the Counter-terrorism and Security Act 2015, including how to recognise vulnerability in others and who to contact with concerns. This e-learning module is suitable for administrative staff, senior tutors and tutors as well as reception and front line staff.

Online learning for Managers - ACAS provide access to free online e-learning module of people management related topics. They can be accessed HERE.
