Global Wales Discover

Global Wales Discover is a British Council-run programme funded by the Welsh Government and Global Wales, which provides funding for Welsh Universities to deliver short-term mobility opportunities for Welsh undergraduate students to work, study or volunteer in another country. 

Welsh domicile* students can spend between two and eight weeks studying, working or volunteering in one of the following countries: 

EU Member States: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Romania, USA, Canada, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, India, China and Vietnam. 

Funding is available to support students’ living costs and travel. 

For students, Global Wales Discover is a valuable opportunity to spend a short time abroad, building skills and confidence, enhancing employability and developing cultural awareness.
