Why is Bangor University a good choice for the course you are studying?

I had recently completed my bachelor’s degree; LLB in Law, and I wanted to continue my studies in the legal field, but also wanted to study management skills that would help to further my career. What is the social life like in Bangor? Are you involved in any societies or sports teams? How easy it is to make friends here?

The events organised by the International Education Centre are very enjoyable where I got to meet lots of other international students. Bar Uno (the Bar/restaurant/club) on Ffriddoedd site is a very fun and social place to make and meet friends. I like that the city is quite small because it means that it is very social and friendly. During my time here I joined one of the AU clubs and was nominated for course rep for the 2nd year, it was good fun and a good way to meet lots of new people.

Your experience of living in university accommodation OR private accommodation?

I lived in private accommodation in the lower part of Bangor, I found the house to be very comfortable, modern and convenient for all my needs. The supermarket and train station were quite close to my house and I only had to walk 10 minutes or less in order to get to the buildings my lectures were in.

What do you think about Bangor and the surrounding area?

It has a great atmosphere and I really enjoyed being able to study in such a great learning environment with beautiful scenery.
