Why is Bangor University a good choice for the course you are studying?

Bangor University is a good choice for the course that I am studying because the ranking for the Psychology School is really good. Also, some of the professors that teach us also work for the National Health Service (NHS) which makes the lectures even more interesting. They tell us the practical aspects of our work and I really enjoy that. I like the infrastructure as well, the library and the Main Arts building reminds me of Hogwarts from Harry Potter.

Tell us what you like about academic teaching quality at Bangor University?

I really like the professors here, they are all very friendly and they try to take care of the students need. Also, 'Blackboard' is very helpful as we get to know about our lectures, notes and everything else all in one place.

What is the social life like in Bangor? Are you involved in any societies or sports teams? How easy it is to make friends here?

I have joined some of the societies and clubs and I think that they do help you a lot to connect with people with similar interests. Personally, it wasn’t tough for me to make friends here as I instantly connected with my flatmates and classmates but joining the societies also helped a lot. I think it is easy to make friends here and you also get to meet people from all over the world.

Your experience of living in university accommodation OR private accommodation?

I live in university accommodation - Garth halls. My experience has been really nice, it's very comfortable and is really close to the main university campus. I think it is very safe and secure here and the costs for accommodation are also reasonable as we have shared kitchens and private rooms. The wardens are also nice and they do their jobs properly.

What do you think about Bangor and the surrounding area?

Bangor is a very pretty place and it is surrounded by natural beauty, I love the fact it is surrounded by mountains and you can go trekking whenever you want! It is a quiet and peaceful place where I can focus my time on my studies, but it is also fun at the same time. I can visit so many places close to Bangor and all at an affordable cost. The university also organises trips to nearby cities like Liverpool, Manchester etc.
