Why is Bangor University a good choice for the course you are studying?
It was the modules that were available on the MBA International Marketing at Bangor University which first attracted me to study here. I also liked the fact it was set in such peaceful surroundings, with the mountains and countryside all around. I knew there would be no distractions from my studying and I knew this would help me be successful in my degree. Once I got here I knew I had made the right choice as the atmosphere was so nice and the people so friendly.

I think the lecturers and professors were fabulous, they were always enthusiastic and more than willing to help us at any time. They were very accessible and I never thought twice about asking them for help or advice when I needed help with my work. The lectures were very interactive with good amounts of information. Overall I would say the lectures were very good and of a high quality, there is nothing I would change about them.

I made friends very quickly once I arrived in Bangor, which was great. Everyone at the University was exceptionally friendly towards me and I instantly felt welcomed from the very moment I arrived. I had the opportunity to meet many people from around the world and I have made some great friends here.
Your experience of living in university accommodation OR private accommodation?
I lived in the university halls on the Ffriddoedd Site which was a fabulous experience for me as that is where most of the students live. The maintenance of the buildings was excellent, everything was always kept clean and tidy and if we had any issues they were dealt with promptly by the on-site staff. The amenities and facilities make staying in university halls more than worth it, so I would highly recommend it to people thinking of coming to the University.
What do you think about Bangor and the surrounding area?
I think both the city itself and the surrounding areas, such as the mountains, are very beautiful and in fact it reminds me of my home, I originally come from India. It is so peaceful and pretty here that when combined with memories of my home, Bangor has now become my second home as a result. I feel very settled here and I have no plans to leave here yet as I know I would miss it so much!
Any experience with the free support services available to international students at Bangor University?
I was aware of the free support services available to international students when they arrived at Bangor University and I took advantage of the support available. I used the services both pre-departure as well as when I arrived in Bangor to help me set up my visa and bank accounts amongst other things. They made my experience a lot easier and I was also helped personally by one of the student ambassadors, which was a great experience.

I do have experience of job seeking while in Bangor and I started to search whilst I was studying and I soon got a part time job and I am still working there to this day.
