Why is Bangor University a good choice for the course you are studying?

In the UK, Bangor University is ranked within the top colleges for Psychology. The research team is very well-known and offers a broad spectrum of topics to work on. The labs are well equipped with the latest technologies, the maclabs for doing SPSS are quite user friendly. The staff are a good team working together for advancements in psychology.

Tell us what you like about academic teaching quality at Bangor University?

The teaching quality is excellent in the Psychology department. The lectures are detailed and cover a large section of the theory aspect. Some lectures also involved activities which were interactive and helped in the understanding of the topics. The academic workload is quite fairly distributed for our course.

What is the social life like in Bangor? Are you involved in any societies or sports teams? How easy it is to make friends here?

Before coming to Bangor I had the opportunity to interact with my classmates through groups on social media. People here are very open, friendly and enthusiastic. The fairs like serendipity provide a good opportunity to join clubs and societies which also helps us to meet people from all over the world. I have been a part of the Psychology Society and the Indian Society; these have been quite rejuvenating when the academic workload is high.

Your experience of living in university accommodation OR private accommodation?

I have chosen university accommodation and I am very satisfied with the housing and facilities provided, and have experienced a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. The halls are located right next to the university buildings which makes it really easy for us to get around.

What do you think about Bangor and the surrounding area?

Bangor is a small city and it is very beautiful and scenic. The hills and the ocean add to the vacation vibe here, and there are many places to look around and explore.

Any experience with the free support services available to international students at Bangor University?

The International Education Centre provided me with a lot of help and support throughout the administrative processes and obtaining my visa. My country manager guided me and answered all the queries whenever needed.

Experience of getting part-time jobs in Bangor? How easy is it to get one?

The university offers certain facilities such as exam invigilation which are efficient ways to make some quick money during our studies.

How confident are you that Bangor university degree will help you in taking your career forward?

Obtaining a Master’s degree from Bangor University will bring me one step closer to my future career. This degree would involve good exposure to research methods and theoretical understanding which would help me in future clinical training. I am confident that this degree would aid to my future prospects.

What is the highlight/best thing about being a student at Bangor?

The best thing about being a Bangor student is gaining the best knowledge through academic accomplishments, studying amidst the beauty of nature and making lifetime bonds with people are its perks.
