For entry onto undergraduate courses, postgraduate taught courses and postgraduate research course requires the following English Language minimum scores:
An overall score of IELTS 6.0 with no individual score lower than 5.5
Computer Based TOEFL 220
Some undergraduate and postgraduate programmes may require higher scores.
The minimum requirement for IBT (Internet-based TOEFL) is 87 with a minumum grade of : 22-Reading; 21- Listening; 23-Speaking; 21-Writing
To study certain subjects at the University however, we do ask for a higher IELTS score (or equivalent). Please take a look at our English Language Requirements page which will provide you with all the necessary information.
Only international students who have indefinite leave to remain in the UK can apply for part-time courses. It is unlikely that international students would be issued with a Visa to study part-time. It is best to check your VISA status and then contact the International Student Support Office if you are unsure
Yes , Bangor University offers the Post Graduate Certificate in Education, the application process is slightly different to other postgraduates courses. For full details visit the Applications for PGCE page.
8 and 12 week pre-sessional English courses run in the summer email email@example.com for an application form.
Students need to apply through Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS).
Students applying for Postgraduate taught and research programmes can apply online.

To apply for the International Entrance Scholarship you don’t need to do anything, this is automatically awarded to students who apply before the application deadline. For departmental scholarships you may need to complete a scholarship application form, please check with your chosen school / college
You will only need a JACS code if you are applying for a programme that requires an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate.
If this is the case, you will receive with your offer letter an ATAS Statement containing the relevant JACS code. If your programme does not fall under the ATAS scheme you will not need your programme's JACS code.
