Blackboard

Blackboard is the virtual learning environment (VLE) supported across Bangor University.

You can log in to Blackboard via the 'Links' page on MyBangor or directly from the URL https://blackboard.bangor.ac.uk.

• When you've logged in you can set your preferred language for Blackboard
• For your own devices you can save time in the future by saving your password and bookmarking the Blackboard site as you will be using it very often
• Staff with visual difficulties can change the text size and contrast settings of the website
• The ‘Tools’ section allows students to send emails to other course members, set and complete personal tasks, and find any important announcements regarding Blackboard
• Links to course modules, lecture and tutorial content can be added
• You will see all blackboard related announcements so keep an eye out for important information

If you encounter difficulties logging in to Blackboard please try the following:

• If you are unable to log in to Blackboard, contact the IT Support Centre via extn 8111 (01248 388111 outside the University), or email helpdesk@bangor.ac.uk.
• Members of staff requiring general advice and help with using Blackboard may also contact the IT Support Centre via extn 8111, or email helpdesk@bangor.ac.uk with the request.
• If you are a member of staff and your modules do not appear in Blackboard, contact your School Office to check that your details as course instructor are correct in Banner.
