Connect to Wi-fi (Eduroam)

Staff and Students

Wi-fi is available across campus and in all Halls of Residence and is really easy to connect to using Eduroam

Connect Game consoles and other devices in Halls of Residence

Consoles and other devices such as media sticks/e-readers should be connected to the wireless network ResNet.

You will need a key to join this network – click on the ‘Get connected to Resnet’ button below.

Keys can be used on up to three devices and need to be renewed each year.

Connect your Windows PC to the wired network in Halls

To connect your Windows PC to the wired network in your room you will need to download and run the relevant tool to your version of Windows.

Wireless printing for Staff and Students

Print to any of the University Printers wirelessly over the internet. The easiest way is to connect to the University’s Print Portal – Everyone Print (E-print).

Visiting Pontio?

If you are visiting Pontio you may wish to connect to ‘The Cloud’ network service.

Use Eduroam to connect to other UK institutions

You can also connect to Eduroam at other institutions across the UK and overseas. Eduroam in the UK is provided by JANET, a high-speed network for the UK research and education community – the JANET website provides a list of the UK institutions that offer an eduroam service.

Use Eduroam worldwide

Having started in Europe, eduroam has rapidly expanded throughout the research and education community and is now available in 80 territories worldwide.

When using eduroam you are bound by the Acceptable Use Policies of Bangor University, JANET and the site you are visiting or from.
