About me:
My name is Jenny Greene
I started work at Bangor University just over twenty years ago. During that time I have studied with the School of Lifelong Learning and was awarded a BA (hons) in Social Studies. I have also acquired a Post Graduate Diploma in Library & Information Management from Liverpool John Moores University.
I started my library career in the Nursing library at St David’s Hospital, which later relocated to the Fron Heulog site and more recently moved to Adeilad Deiniol. After ten years in the nursing library I transferred to the Inter Library Loans department and worked at the Main Library for over five years. I was then fortunate enough to be seconded into the user support team, providing generic library support across the wider University. More recently, I have been appointed as the Academic Support Librarian for the College of Arts & Humanities
Teaching/Enquiries:
In addition to responding to enquiries, I provide training in library research skills, providing one-to-one support where needed. I also offer group training presentations and practical, computer based workshops. The presentations and workshops cover the following areas:
- Subject specific resources – including research and evaluation skills
- Referencing skills/tools
Research Support:
I support researchers with guidance on literature research skills and subject specific resources, current awareness tools and can provide some useful networking links . The library also provides information about Open Access publishing.
External Support:
I am also available to assist visiting scholars and the local community with their library research needs.
Please contact me if you would like to book a session or if you have any queries.
