About me:
I have a B.A. (Hons) in French and M.A. in European Languages and Cultures from Bangor University and an MSc. in Librarianship and Information Studies from Aberystwyth University. I am currently working towards my Chartership, the next level of professional registration for librarians, and am on the Health Libraries Group Wales Committee.
I have been employed at the University for nearly eighteen years, predominantly at the Healthcare Sciences Library, but also at the Main Library. My role is Academic Support Librarian for the College of Health and Behavioural Sciences
Teaching/Enquiries:
I provide user support with enquiries and training for students and staff, including computer-based workshops and presentations for groups and one-to-one sessions. Topics covered include information searching skills, referencing and e-resource training. If academic staff would like to arrange information literacy or referencing sessions for their students, please contact me. These can be designed specifically towards information resources for Healthcare Sciences, Psychology, Medical Sciences, Sport and Exercise Sciences.
Research Support:
I support postgraduate researchers and staff with literature searching and managing references. I am able to assist academic staff with regard to resources and reading lists. The library also provides information about Open Access publishing.
External Support:
We welcome visitors to our libraries. I am available to assist visiting scholars and the local community with their library research needs.
