Top Tip: Please specify the importance for each book on a reading list, this lets the library know how important the book is for your course and has an effect on the number of copies the library buys.
Pre-Publish Checklist
Before Publishing your reading list, please ensure that you have:
- linked your reading list to the modules it is relevant to.
- given each item on the list an importance (The item importance has an effect on the number of copies the library will order in).
- set the correct number of students .

Requesting a Review
The library uses reviews to ensure that it has up-to-date relevant resources in sufficient numbers.
Top Tip: If you have already requested a review, you will be unable to request another review until the library has finished ordering resources for your reading list. If you add new content to a reading list that is already being reviewed email readinglists@bangor.ac.uk and let them know. This ensures that your new content gets checked and where applicable, ordered.
To Request a Review:
- Request Review from within the Reading List
- Go to My Lists
- Browse through your reading lists until you find the list you want to publish.
- Click on the list title to open the reading list.
- Click Review and then Review List:
- Check that the anticipated student numbers is correct.
- Click Request Review.
- Request Review from Edit mode
- Go to My Lists
- Browse down your reading lists until you find the list you want to publish.
- Click on the list title to open the reading list.
- Click Edit and then Edit List
- Here you can add content and sections to your reading list.
- To request areview of the list click on Request Review
- Check that the anticipated student numbers are correct.
- Click Request Review.
Publishing a Reading List
There are three ways to publish a reading list
- Publish From My Lists
- Click My Lists.
- Browse your reading list until you find the list you want to publish.
- Click Select Action and then click Publish:
Top Tip: If you haven't already requested a review, click Request Review - If you have already Requested a review click Publish List.
- Publish from within the Reading List
- Go to My Lists
- Browse your reading list until you find the list you want to publish.
- Click on the list title to open the reading list.
- Click Edit and then click Publish:

- Publish from Edit Mode
- Go to My Lists
- Browse through your reading lists until you find the list you want to publish.
- Click on the list title to open the reading list.
- Click Edit and then click Edit List:
- Here you can add content and sections to your reading list.
- To publish the list click on Publish
