Victoria is a qualified Accountant and studied Accounting and Finance at Edinburgh Napier University Business School before training as an Accountant in Carlisle in private practice from 1996 to 2000. Victoria has experience working in various finance functions and commercial entities.
Victoria joined British Nuclear Fuels plc (BNF plc) at the Sellafield site in Cumbria in 2000, spending 4 years working in various finance roles on its commercial nuclear plant operations. She later transferred to Daresbury, Warrington in 2004 to join a newly created subsidiary company of BNF plc, British Nuclear Group Ltd, as Financial Accountant, which was originally set up to operate the UK’s 14 nuclear sites. This was at the time of the original setting up of the Nuclear Decommission Authority (NDA) in 2005 and a time of major restructuring of the UK’s nuclear industry and the initial introduction of the maintenance and operations contracts, set up so that companies could compete to operate, maintain and clean up the UK’s nuclear sites. In 2006, Victoria moved to the Risley head office of BNF plc working in the subsidiary Sellafield Ltd as Accountant and Indirect Tax Manager before leaving in 2009.
In 2009 Victoria and her family moved to North Wales and following a career break, in 2011 she began working in the Bangor University Estate’s Finance Department on the Pontio capital project and the subsidiary Undeb Trading Cyf, later working on the Menai Science Park capital project, the subsidiary company Menai Science Park Ltd and the subsidiary company North West Wales Management Development Centre Ltd.
Victoria joined the Management Centre as Financial Controller in July 2017.
Victoria has two sons and enjoys family time and the outdoors, having spent her childhood growing up on a mixed dairy and arable farm in Cumbria.
