The Centre hosts at least one conference every two years (see here for conferences held in 1998, 1999, 2001 & 2003). These most often take place in Bangor, but in recent years have also been held in Cardiff and Aberystwyth. Conferences are regularly devoted to specific themes: the 2005 symposium on the Robert ap Huw manuscript was a joint enterprise with the National Library of Wales, designed to celebrate the temporary loan of the manuscript from the British Library.

Abstracts from the Centre’s most recent conference in June 2007 may be viewed here.

A postgraduate conference will be hosted by CAWMS during summer 2008: enquiries are welcome.

Planning is also underway for a major conference focusing on music of all Celtic regions (including Ireland, Scotland, Brittany, Cornwall, and the Isle of Man) in 2009. Further details will be posted shortly.
