Is your research aim achievable, and what are the merits of pursuing it? This workshop considers these two questions as we work through the process of generating a research question from an initial topic choice. You will have an opportunity to:

  • look at your own research question in detail, via freewriting, individual thinking and writing tasks as well as pair discussions
  • form sub-questions that highlight the various aspects of your research topic
  • use a criteria to evaluate sample research questions
  • start outlining your project by responding to a question-based grid
