This workshop considers a very important and aspect of teaching, that of evaluation. The interactive workshop will consider issues including the context and focus of evaluation, theories which shape our approach and ways in which we can evaluate. In addition, the session will explore two methods in detail and how we can close the feedback loop. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and sharing good practice during the workshop

What you can expect to learn

By the end of the session participants should be able to

  • Recognise the need and importance of evaluation in teaching
  • Have insights into different theories which explore evaluation
  • Develop their knowledge of methods which can be used for effective evaluation
  • Assess the various sources of data which can be used for evaluation
