In this workshop we will seek answers to your research questions. It aims to enable you to respond to the problem in question, to consider how you will go about doing the research, to explore why it is worth doing, and to evaluate your contribution to the subject. You will have an opportunity to:

  • ask yourself where you currently are with your project, to highlight progress and gaps, via freewriting, individual thinking and writing tasks and pair discussions
  • write a provisional answer to your research question, using various approaches to constructing methodologies
  • start the process of justifying your research methods/methodologies, using a critique grid
  • consider various approaches to using time-planners and one particular research plan to help manage your time
  • subject your research plans to some critical reflection by responding to audit questions
