This lecture will describe how the Police Service, and North Wales Police in particular, have necessarily sought to align their priorities, workforce and services to emerging threats to society and to new demands. It will also highlight the obstacles that have arisen in doing so and how these have been overcome.

Finally the lecture will highlight how the police service and the force will need to continue to evolve and the challenges that this will give rise to.
