This course provides an introduction and broad overview of: social media and social marketing and how marketing has evolved; an understanding of the challenges in the implementation and operation of social media marketing. You will review the use of social media for marketing and Public Relations and understand how customers and businesses are increasingly engaging with social media for targeted selling, building a customer base and relationships; social media behaviours; online branding; language for social media; analytics; demographics; geo-graphics and psychographics. You will analyse the impact of social networking and social media and the implications of this for customer service. Using that knowledge, you will be able to identify and combine technologies, apps and platforms to develop a coherent approach and how to use multiple platforms and scheduled posting effectively. An interactive learning approach with discussions and exercises relates practical techniques and methods to dayto-day usage and enables the development of skills
