Yng Ngolau’r Lleuad

Following the success of our other sessions exploring prominent Welsh texts, this time we bring together a panel of experts to discuss Caradog Prichard’s Un Nos Ola Leuad, the novel originally published by Gwasg Gee in 1961 which has captured the imagination of generations in Wales and beyond with its vivid portrayal of childhood in Bethesda, North Wales and which is regularly performed as a stage play.

Our panel includes:
Dr J. Elwyn Hughes
Betsan Llwyd, actor and artistic director of Theatr Bara Caws
Carys Gwilym, actor
Siôn Trystan, actor

Two actors from Bangor University’s Welsh Drama Society will perform extracts from the play on the day.

Aimed particularly at those studying the play as part of WJEC syllabus, but open to all.

Don’t forget about the Arts Council of Wales’ Go and See scheme that schools can use to fund visits to high-quality arts events, visit www.arts.wales for details.
