Bangor named the most international university in Wales

Bangor University has been listed among the 200 most international universities globally and the most international university in Wales in a table published today (14 January 2016).

The table of the most international universities is drawn from data contained in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, where the University appears among the top 350 world Universities.

Bangor University’s appearance at 107th in the table of global universities with the most international outlook confirms the University’s strategic mission to be an international University for the region.

Welcoming the news of the University’s growing international reputation, Vice-Chancellor Professor John G Hughes said:

“Bangor University is really making its presence felt around the globe. We provide a unique experience for our international students along with overseas study opportunities for our UK students. We are increasing our study and research partnerships with universities around the globe. The university’s inclusion among the world’s most international universities is the latest of a number of league tables and surveys which reflect well the University which has a long record of academic excellence and a reputation for excellent teaching and student care. 

Bangor University ranks above a number of globally renowned universities including Harvard, Princeton and Stanford.

Currently ranked 7th in Britain according to the WhatUni Student Choice Awards (April 2015)  Bangor University retains its leads in Wales and its position in the top 10 in the UK (of the UK’s best non-specialist universities, the traditional institutions who offer a broad range of subjects) in the annual National Student Survey (2015).
