Guardian League Tables 2019 results

Bangor University is placed 47th in the latest Guardian League Tables for 2019, capping off another successful year for the University.

The League Tables which provide a source of information to prospective students, is largely based on student experience of their course, teaching and feedback, among other measures. In the overall League Table, Bangor University has the third highest score for student satisfaction, and the sixth highest for satisfaction with feedback. This reflects the University’s own focus on providing an excellent student experience.

Bangor University is the only Welsh University to achieve a national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold Award, the highest rating possible. The TEF found that strong areas at Bangor include student engagement, teaching & assessment practices, personalised support and these are borne out by this latest table.

Professor John G Hughes, Vice-Chancellor Bangor University commented:

“We focus on providing an excellent education and all-round student-centred university experience. Our recent WhatUni.com Student Choice Awards for best in the UK for its Students’ Union Clubs & Societies and for its Student Accommodation and our top 10 position in the UK in the National Student Survey for student satisfaction also attest to this.

I’m pleased with the most recent League Table results. These league tables provide one source of useful information for potential students.”
