Bribery Act Information
The Bribery Act 2010 created a new offence which can be committed by organisations which fail to prevent persons associated with them from bribing another person on their behalf. The University, in response to the requirements of the Act, has designated Gwenan Hine in the Compliance Unit as the Anti-Corruption Officer and has approved an Anti-Bribery Policy outlining the University's requirements and expectations.
Further guidance on the requirements is also available from the Ministry of Justice. The Guidance Document includes some useful case studies to show how the Bribery Act is to work in practice. A short guide is also available.
