Ambitious goals in decarbonising the UK economy have been shown through energy policy documents in 2003 and 2009, as the UK needs to dramatically increase the amount of energy sourced through low-carbon technologies through a variety of actions; and targets are currently set for the UK and the wider EU levels heading towards an 80% reduction in Green House Gases (GHG's) by 2050, with emphasis upon: wind, biomass and tidal, as technology changes act as the main driver.
