Business Start Up

Support from Big Ideas Wales and the Welsh Government allows us to provide one to one, confidential support for students and recent graduates. From ideas on a post-it note to fully developed business plans, support is available at all stages of business start-up. B-Enterprising also runs workshops, presentations and other events specifically aimed at those who are interested in business start up. If you have an idea for starting your own business or social enterprise then contact us to arrange an appointment. Further details can be found on My Bangor. In addition, you can apply to have a stall at our annual Student Christmas Market held at the University in December. It attracts over 2,000 visitors and is a great place to do some research and test trade ideas.

To help you develop your ideas in a visual and creative way, we've teamed up with Simply Do Ideas to provide a platform for you to build up ideas and add information in your own time. Click here to use the platform. You'll need to register your details but it's free and you can either keep your ideas private or share with a business mentor or others when you're ready.

Workshops and Information

You don’t have to want to become self-employed to benefit from the services that B-Enterprising has to offer. Enterprise skills such as networking, creative thinking and commercial awareness are just as important for landing your dream graduate job as your work experience and academic qualifications. Like us on Facebook and keep up-to-date with the latest events through MyBangor .

B-Enterprising provide multiple opportunities throughout the year to take part in a wide range of competitions within the University and at local, national and global scales. You can develop your enterprise skills and have fun at the same time, meeting new people and potentially winning some great prizes! The annual Santander Universities Entrepreneurial Awards are usually held in Semester 2 and this year Bangor students will be among the first to be given the opportunity to take part in Virgin Start Up challenges. We'll post the latest information on our Facebook Page.
