Overview

I am the Head of the newly formed Management and Marketing Group in Bangor Business School, working with colleagues to meet key organizational objectives. Prior to joining Bangor University in January 2022, I was Professor of International Business and Strategy, and Head of the Strategy, Operations, and Entrepreneurship Group in Essex Business School, successfully line-managing 48 colleagues. I helped the Group to increase the number of excellent students on its programmes, and helped to recruit outstanding academics to the Group.

I have published in leading comparative and international business journals, such as the British Journal of Management, Sociology, Socio-Economic Review, and The International Journal of Human Resource Management. I am on the editorial board of the International Journal of Human Resource Management. My research has been funded by the German Academic Exchange Service, the Fritz Thyssen Foundation, and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
