Living Costs

In addition to the cost of your tuition fees, you will need to consider the additional expense of accommodation and living costs.

Bangor University offers the best of both worlds, with some of the UK’s lowest living costs, in one of its most scenic areas. 

Accommodation costs vary, but are usually between £70-£105 per week in the private sector (excluding utility bills) and between £100-£162 per week in University accommodation (including utility bills).

There are a number of accommodation options available in Bangor: 

• University-owned halls of residence on Ffriddoedd Village and St Mary's Village
• Individual rooms in privately owned houses or self-contained flats and apartments 
• Private-sector halls of residence  

'Living cost' refers to the essential expenses besides your tuition fees and accommodation: food and drink, books and study materials, clothes and utilities, and entertainment.
