We guarantee a room in our halls of residence to all first-year undergraduates who hold Bangor as their Firm Choice and apply before the given deadline.
Our accommodation is self-catered and the majority of our halls are en-suite. All our halls are within walking distance of the main University buildings and city centre. Take a look at our campus map to see where our accommodation is located.
Choose where you want to live
We currently have around 2,960 rooms available at two residential locations; Ffriddoedd Village and St Mary’s Village. Our booking system allows you choose the specific room and hall that you want to live in.
How to apply
Applicants who hold Bangor as their Firm Choice through UCAS will be emailed on 1 April 2019 with details on how to apply.
Accommodation of the highest standard
Bangor University’s accommodation was named as the best in the UK at the What Uni Student Choice Awards 2018. Students living in halls of residence also have the advantage of of wi-fi, wired internet, water, electricity and heating bills being included in the price.
For all students living in University Halls of Residence, gym and Campus Life membership are included. Campus Life runs a programme of events throughout the year, including film nights, quizzes, trips and outdoor activities.
The University’s sport centre, Canolfan Brailsford, is located at Ffriddoedd Village and there is a Fitness Room at St Mary’s Village.

Located in Upper Bangor, Ffriddoedd Village has around 2,000 rooms, most of which are en-suite.
On site is a shop, Bar Uno cafe bar, Canolfan Brailsford sport centre, laundrettes and common rooms.
St Mary's Village
Located close to the city centre, in an elevated position, St Mary’s has around 600 rooms.
Accommodation includes en-suites, budget rooms, townhouses and studios. On-site is a shop/cafe, fitness room, laundrette, IT suite and common rooms.
Students with additional needs
Arrangements can be made where possible to accommodate individual requests from students which are disability related.
