Why Bangor?

After visiting Bangor on an Open Day I knew this was the place for me. I had found the perfect course in a beautiful location.

Open Day…

When I came to the Open Day I was so impressed by the welcome I received from staff, students and my department.

Social Life…

There are so many societies to get involved in and all are free too. The variety of societies gives you the chance to gain new skills as well as make life long friends. I am part of the music society and the university volleyball team. I am also the treasurer of the string orchestra.

Halls of Residence…

Living in halls was an amazing experience which every student should have. You get to know so many people outside your course and meet lifelong friends. The location is great as it’s close to the university and supermarkets. The student bar on Ffriddoedd and the pubs and clubs are all within walking distance so socialising is very easy.

Bangor and the area…

To have the opportunity to study a course you love in a beautiful location is very rare, which is why Bangor stands out from other universities. The picturesque views of Snowdonia and the Menai Strait surrounding you – what more could you want?

Welcome Week….

It was amazing! Within hours of meeting my flatmates and unpacking my things I felt at home. My schedule was so busy with things to get involved in! I got to make friends that I will have for life.

Advice for prospective students…

Come to Bangor with an open mind and ready to take on new challenges and experiences and you will have an amazing time.
