About the Sports Scholarship:

“Being awarded a sports scholarship means a lot to me. Firstly, it means my extracurricular efforts and achievements are acknowledged, and it is also a truly great feeling to be supported by the University. Living in the UK and keeping up with training can be financially challenging. With the financial help of the Sports Scholarship, I will be able to travel to various locations to train in more suitable conditions around Europe in addition to attending more races. It will also allow me to get better equipment for the 2017 season which could help me to place in higher positions.

“I also feel a great responsibility towards the University and I did my best to bring medals from the BUCS race this year. In order to win more points overall in the competition, I helped train fellow members of the Bangor University Canoe Club and provided logistical support at the BUCS race.”
