Business and Law students from Bangor University have united for a comprehensive study visit to some of the principal institutions of the European Union, thanks to sponsorship from Welsh MEP Dr Kay Swinburne.

Enriching the educational experience: Law students hosted by the North Wales Police

Every year, postgraduate students on Professor Suzannah Linton’s International Human Rights Law course and other students on the International Law Masters programme go on a field trip, where they have the opportunity to engage with law enforcement professionals about their work and to see theory come to ‘life’. The last two years, for example, they have visited the Police Force and Firearms Training Centre near Wrexham.

Continued Investment in the Student Experience

New sport facilities and an exciting new Arts & Innovation Centre are amongst the many developments underway to further enhance the student experience at Bangor University.

Some of the changes can already be seen taking place on campus, with construction work well underway on Pontio – the University’s new multi-million pound  arts centre – which is due to be open in October 2014.

Writing Success

Many congratulations to three postgraduate students at the School of Welsh for their recent success in creative writing.

Ruth Richards, a Creative Writing MA student, won first prize in the Allen Raine Short Story Competition, sponsored by Gomer Press and Parthian Books.
