Silver medal for Welsh student

A Bangor University student brought home a silver medal for Wales from the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships in Australia recently.

High achieving Modern Languages graduate’s academic work recognised globally

A Bangor University graduate’s final year dissertation has been ‘highly commended’ in the Music, Film & Theatre category of The Undergraduate AwardsProgramme 2017. Maisie Prior, 23, originally from Enderby, Leicester, graduated in July 2017 with a first-class BA Spanish with International Experience degree, whilst also scooping the Dr John Robert Jones Prize of £1,000 which is awarded annually to the best students across all disciplines at the University.

2017 Tropical Forestry Study Tour in Ghana

In July 2017, the School of Environment, Natural Resources and Geography organised a two-week study tour in Ghana for students enrolled on the distance learning MSc Tropical Forestry programme at Bangor University. Students came from 13 different countries and the group was hosted by the Forestry Institute of Ghana.
