Get in the Endurance Zone! EEG neurofeedback improves cycling performance

Francesca Mottola, a PhD researcher from the School of Sport Health and Exercise Sciences, Bangor University, has won second prize in the Young Researchers award at the FEPSAC International Congress for her innovative work on neurofeedback and exercise performance.

Lynx reintroduction research wins UK student award

A student whose research made national and international news has been awarded the first UK Masters Student of the Year Award by the FindAPhD website.

Thomas Ovenden, currently a PhD student at the University of Stirling, conducted his MSc in Environmental Forestry at Bangor University. His masters research project was on the potential to reintroduce the Eurasian lynx, a species extinct in Britain for over 1,000 years.

The power of music driving Alistair's achievements

For Alistair OʼMahoney, 21, from Neath, choosing to study Music at university was a natural step. Raised in a musical family, he received piano lessons from an early age and was also a member of his county’s brass band, playing at one of the greatest First World War monuments, the Menin Gate, on the site of the Ypres battlefield, during one tour abroad with the band.
