Law Society Visits London and Cardiff
Members of Bangor Students’ Law Society marked the end of the academic year with educational trips to London and Cardiff.
During the March expedition to London, students took in the House of Commons, the Royal Courts of Justice and the Supreme Court, having the opportunity to sit in on a Committee Meeting at the House of Commons before being given a talk by Elfyn Llwyd MP. At the Supreme Court, the group witnessed a copyright infringement case involving the ‘Stormtroopers’ suits from the Star Wars franchise.
In April, 18 students travelled to Cardiff to support Vicky Clishem and Tobias Morris as they represented Bangor Law School at the finals of the Welsh National Moot Competition. The competition coincided with a guided tour of the Welsh Assembly, where Baron Dafydd Elis-Thomas gave Law Society members a history of the Assembly and devolution in Wales.
