Two teams to represent Bangor at IBM Universities Business Challenge semi-finals

Two teams of Bangor Business School students have made it through to the semi-finals of the 2012 IBM Universities Business Challenge.

The IBM Universities Business Challenge is a prestigious and highly competitive contest in which undergraduates from universities throughout the UK participate in a series of realistic, simulated business scenarios. Students are asked to work as a board of directors and to make all the critical business decisions that affect their assumed company’s performance.

As well as enabling students to develop their employability, team-work and leadership skills, the Challenge is seen as a valuable opportunity for students to network with and to be head-hunted by recruiters.

This year saw a record number of 304 teams entering, and Bangor Business School is fortunate to have two of its three teams proceed to the semi-finals. The next round is due to take place in spring 2012.
