Student Services provides information, advice and consultancy services for all staff who provide pastoral support to students; including Senior and Personal Tutors; School Administrators; Halls staff and Wardens, as well as Security and Domestics staff who are often the first point of contact for students in an emergency.

Resources
This e-learning package is provided by the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust and is designed to give non-specialist staff the skills, knowledge and confidence to offer a first line of support to students who may have mental health issues. It is particularly recommended for University staff with pastoral responsibilities.

Staff development
Student Services Staff regularly provide staff development sessions on topics such as: listening skills; skills development for personal tutors; dealing with difficult situations; disability awareness training and reasonable adjustments within the teaching & learning environment.
