Masters Scholarships
LLM Master of Laws Bursaries
Each successful International applicant will automatically be considered for a £2,000 bursary when the application for entry is being considered. Confirmation of the bursary award will be provided in the offer letter. You must be applying for one of the following programmes to be eligible for the bursary:
- LLM International Commercial and Business Law
- LLM Public Law and Devolved Governments
- LLM Law (General)
- LLM Law and Criminology
- LLM Public Procurement Law and Strategy
- Executive LLM Public Procurement Law and Strategy
- LLM International Intellectual Property Law
- LLM International Law
- LLM International Law (specialising in European Law)
- LLM International Law (specialising in Global Trade Law)
- LLM International Law (specialising in International Criminal Law and International Human Rights Law)
- LLM Law and Banking
MA / MBA - Gold & Silver Scholarships
Gold Scholarships valued at £5,000 and Silver Scholarships valued at £2,000 are available for the study of the MA or MBA masters degrees delivered jointly by the School of Law and Bangor Business School. To be eligible to apply, candidates must firstly submit an application for entry onto one of the following programmes:
- MBA Law and Management
- MBA Banking and Law
- MA Banking and Law
All applicants will be advised by email of the outcome of their application for entry onto an academic programme. Applicants who have been made an offer of entry will receive the Scholarship Application Pack from the Bangor Law School in that same email message. Those who have not provided an email address on the application form will be contacted by letter. The Scholarship Application Pack will include:
- details of the Gold and Silver scholarship scheme
- details of how to apply
- a scholarship application form
Applicants are required to give details of their academic achievements, personal achievements and give their reasons for applying for a scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded on the strength of applications received. Whilst academic achievement is a key criterion a broad view of each candidate's academic, work experience and life achievements will be considered. PLEASE NOTE: your application form will NOT be accepted without a CV.
There are two deadlines for application:
- Interim deadline: 1 March
- Final deadline: 1 July

Loyalty Award
The Law School is pleased to announce a loyalty award for Bangor graduates who choose to continue with Masters degree study at the Bangor Law School. A 10% reduction on tuition fees will be awarded to Bangor graduates. International students who choose to study an LLM will receive the £2,000 LLM Master of Laws Scholarship (see above).
