2008.

Why did you choose to work in the NHS?

To make a difference to patients who need to use the NHS service.

Describe what you do?

I process tissue samples from hospital sites, GP surgeries and clinics around North Wales to provide a diagnosis for patients. I ensure good quality results in a timely manner so clinicians can plan treatment options for our patients.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Working with a great team of highly skilled and caring professionals in a rewarding role.

What would you say to someone thinking about a career in the NHS?

It's a fantastic opportunity, allowing you to help patients, which is highly rewarding. There are added benefits of a good salary, holidays and support.

How would you describe the NHS in one word?

Striving.
