Welcome to The Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice (CMRP)

CMRP Mission Statement

CMRP’s vision is to enhance wellbeing and alleviate the effects of ill health and stress through offering and promoting good practice in the delivery of evidence-based mindfulness practice to all who want it regardless of economic, social, religious or political boundaries.

This is achieved by training professionals in the application of mindfulness based approaches, researching applications of mindfulness and offering classes in mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) to specific populations and the general public.

The CMRP is committed to: excellence in teaching and research; valuing individual learning and development; scientific rigour; embodying acceptance and warmth; integrity and authenticity.

Areas of activity

CMRP has three main areas of activity:

  • Research;
  • Post-graduate teaching programmes
  • Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) programme.

The Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice is hosting an Open Day on Wednesday, March 4th 2015 from 2pm - 4:30pm at our Dean Street premises in Bangor. All are most welcome to attend!
