Richard Caddell’s research focuses on international law and free speech. He has a particular interest in international wildlife conservation, especially in relation to the Bonn Convention and the protection of cetaceans, on which he has published a series of articles. Richard Caddell is also an active researcher in the field of media law, especially in relation to post-Communist Europe (specialising in the Baltic States) and more domestic issues. His work in this regard has appeared in the Cambridge Law Journal and Communications Law, and he has also made a series of conference presentations on media law.
