If you're still looking for a course for this September you can apply through Clearing. This is where our Clearing courses will be listed when Clearing opens in July, so please do check back. In the meantime, learn more about the Clearing process and studying at Bangor University and discover what makes us so extraordinary. You can also pre-register for Clearing using the form below.
What is Clearing?
Clearing is an opportunity for those applicants who are yet to find a place to apply for university places that are yet to be filled. It's available to anyone who has made a UCAS undergraduate application and doesn't hold any offers. Clearing is also available to those who are yet to make any applications to a university for this September. Each year thousands of applicants find a place at university through the Clearing route.
You may find yourself ‘in Clearing’ because of one of the following reasons:
- On A-Level results day, you did not meet the requirements of your firm or insurance choice university.
- On results day, you have met the requirements of your firm or insurance choice university but have changed your mind about going to either of them. In which case you would need to ‘release yourself in to Clearing’.
- You have not yet applied to any university for this September and want to apply through Clearing for a course starting this autumn.
When does Clearing 2022 open?
Clearing officially begins on Tuesday, 5 July, 2022 but you can pre-register for Clearing using the form below.
From Tuesday, 5 July you’ll be able to apply for a course through Clearing if you already have your results (for qualifications taken this year or in previous years).
Even if you’re waiting for your results, it’s not too early to start thinking about your Clearing options. If you haven’t yet applied for any university or are re-considering your options, then start considering which subject areas you’re interested in, and which universities offer courses in those areas.
Clearing places available for this September
Don’t wait until Results Day to do your research - you can search our course listings for more detailed information on individual courses and if we have places available on courses, including Foundation Year degrees, those courses will be marked as Clearing courses on our website from July.
Research your Clearing options
It’s a good idea to start researching your options sooner rather than later so you can be prepared if you find yourself in Clearing on results day. Find out how to research your Clearing options.
