Last December Dr Simon Watt gave an invited talk at 3D Stereo Media, an International 3d/stereo film and technology festival in Liege, Belgium. The meeting attracted a broad range of delegates, including representatives from electronics companies, through to filmmakers. The meeting opened with a session on 'Fundamentals of stereoscopy', in which several vision scientists discussed some of the potential perceptual problems associated with stereoscopic films and television. In his presentation, Dr. Watt talked specifically about fatigue and discomfort that can be caused by the unnatural stimulus to the eyes' focusing response when viewing stereoscopic images.

School of Psychology Knowledge Transfer Day 2009
On the 14th November 2009 we held a KT Day on child well-being. The event was well attended by parents, educators and social care professionals as well as the general public. The event was part of the Gwynedd Children and Young People's Week, 14 - 20 November 2009.
