The School of Welsh had a successful week during the Flintshire National Eisteddfod earlier in August.
Two academic members of staff were adjudicators in two of the main literary competitions, Dr Angharad Price in the Prose Medal competition and Professor Gerwyn Wiliams in the Crown competition.
Three of the latest publications by members of the School were also launched, namely Sons of Arthur, Children of Lincoln: Welsh Writing from the American Civil War by Dr Jerry Hunter, The Legal Triads of Medieval Wales by Dr Sara Elin Roberts, and Ysgrifau Beirniadol XXVII edited by Professor Gerwyn Wiliams.
And a former student of the School was successful in the Crown competition: congratulations to Chief Poet Tudur Dylan Jones who can now add the Crown to the two National Chairs already in his possession!
