We are key partners in the Wales Observatory on the Human Rights of Children and Young People, which gives you a unique opportunity to work with children as researchers. You will also be able to assist staff working with local schools and children’s services to support child and youth summits in issues of concern to children and young people. These issues include climate change and mental health, so you will gain practical experience of these topical issues
In order to work alongside children and young people in supportive ways, we believe that you need to learn from them, listen to them and understand the world they live in. Underpinning our BA Childhood and Youth Studies is a commitment to equality, inclusion, social justice and the human rights of all children and young people, giving you an insight into the theory and practice of making that happen in a variety of careers.
